Andrea Grimshaw Manager, Quality Assurance
Don't let the title fool you -- everyone at Act-On works for Andrea. Nothing happens around here without her say so.
Andrea started her career as a student intern at Responsys in the "good old days" (whenever that was). Since then,
she has worked at many of the coolest startups in the Portland area. Fortunately for us, we were able to use our
legendary corporate charm to pry her away. She brings a lot of expertise to the Act-On team --
software quality, testing, customer service and training, to name just a few.
Andrea has bachelor's degrees in physics and electrical engineering from Portland State University.
Bob Voll Founding Member of Technical Staff
Bob started off working for the largest technology employers in the Portland area: Tektronix, Intel, and Mentor Graphics.
Since leaving Mentor Graphics, Bob has worked for TSSI, Indius Inc and Responsys Inc.
An early adopter of object-oriented programming, Bob has extensive object-oriented programming experience using languages
such as Simula, Mainsail, C++, and Java.
Bob has an MSEE degree from Purdue University. His areas of study included communication theory, control systems, and
computer hardware.
To foster diversity, Bob uses a Mac as his primary work computer.
Rob Salzman Founding Member of Technical Staff
Rob grew up in Talkeetna, Alaska (population: 150). Somehow, he managed to escape and see the world. Stops at Boston
University & the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque led to a career in high-technology, starting at Boeing.
After an extended stint at Mentor Graphics, Rob worked for a series of smaller companies using cutting edge technologies.
At Pi Systems, he helped develop one of the first pen-based computers (the Infolio). At MedicaLogic, he helped create
one of the first Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems. His most recent stint was at Responsys, where he helped build
some of the earliest e-mail marketing services in the industry.
